Sonencia
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Sonencia (频率, the “App”) is developed and operated by Zhun Ren (the “Developer” or “I”). This policy explains how the current version and the policy and support website handle your information.
1. Information I do not collect or receive from the App
The App does not require an online account operated by the Developer. The current version:
- Does not upload your in-app nickname, gender, date of birth, email address, avatar or locally generated Sonencia ID to a developer server.
- Does not upload your favourites, space presets, mix settings, listening time, days of use or language preference to a developer server.
- Does not read your contacts, precise location or health data, record through your microphone or take pictures using your camera.
- Does not include advertising or third-party behavioural analytics SDKs, read advertising identifiers, or track you across apps or websites for advertising. I do not sell your personal information.
- Does not obtain your Apple Account password, bank card number or full payment credentials.
Support emails you choose to send and information provided by Apple under its own rules are described separately below.
2. Data stored on your device
Your profile, avatar, Sonencia ID, favourites, presets, mix and playback settings, listening statistics and language preference are stored on your device to provide the relevant features. I cannot remotely view these local records and do not hold a copy on a developer server.
When you choose an avatar, the App reads the image you select through the system photo picker; it does not scan your entire photo library. Saving a wallpaper or share card requests permission to add an image to Photos. Sharing uses the system share feature, with the recipient chosen by you.
Tilt interaction processes motion sensor data on your device to adjust the scene viewpoint. This data is not transmitted to the Developer. You can choose touch dragging instead in the App.
3. Apple purchases and analytics
Apple’s App Store handles purchases and subscriptions. The App uses StoreKit to read and verify relevant product and transaction status on your device, including subscription expiry, trial and revocation status, to provide or restore access. The current version does not upload this transaction data to a developer server. Apple retains and processes purchase information under its own rules.
I can view sales and subscription summaries supplied through Apple’s developer tools. If you allow analytics sharing with app developers, Apple may also provide crash, performance or usage reports relating to the App. These analytics are provided in aggregate or in a form that does not directly identify you, and are used to investigate issues and improve the App, not to create personal advertising profiles.
You can manage “Share With App Developers” in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy and App Analytics & Privacy notice.
4. Information you send for support
If you email me, I receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include. I use them only to reply, investigate an issue or handle your request. The email providers involved transmit and store these messages. Do not send Apple Account passwords, verification codes or full bank card details.
Support information is kept only for as long as needed to handle the matter and meet applicable legal obligations. I do not disclose it to other parties except service providers needed to handle the request, or where disclosure is required by law.
5. Managing, deleting and backing up information
You can edit local information and settings using the features available in the App and manage permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting the App generally removes its local data; offloading the App while retaining documents and data is different. Copies in system backups, Photos or content you have shared must be managed separately. Whether system backups include App data depends on your Apple settings; I cannot access those backups.
I cannot recover records held only on your device if the device is lost or the data is deleted or damaged. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription or remove Apple’s purchase records. You can contact me to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information you sent in support emails, as provided by applicable law. I cannot delete information held by Apple on your behalf.
6. Website visits
Cloudflare hosts the policy and support pages. When you visit, Cloudflare processes necessary network request information, such as your IP address, requested address and browser information, to deliver content and maintain network security. Its Privacy Policy covers that processing and any technical records it may retain. This website does not enable additional visitor analytics scripts or advertising tracking, and does not collect your in-app listening records or purchase entry points through these pages.
7. Changes and contact
If information handling changes materially, I will update this policy and notify you in the App or by another reasonable method. Where consent is required by law, I will obtain it first. This policy does not authorise undisclosed data collection.
