Sonencia
Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
By downloading, installing or using Sonencia (频率, the “App”), developed and operated by Zhun Ren (the “Developer” or “I”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App and your data
The App provides soundscapes, visuals, mixing and personal settings. Some content is free; some content or features require valid Pro access, as described in the App.
Your profile, favourites, presets, listening statistics and settings are stored on your device. I cannot remotely access these local records or recover lost or deleted records from a developer server. You are responsible for managing access to your device and your system backups.
Purchase verification, support information you submit and analytics provided by Apple are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. These Terms do not expand the data collection described in that policy.
2. Purchased access and automatic renewal
Sonencia provides and manages purchased access within the App. Apple’s App Store processes payments and subscription transactions. Access and its duration are determined by the transaction status verified by Apple.
- Pro is available as three-month and annual auto-renewing subscriptions. Eligible users may receive a 3-day free trial on the annual plan. Eligibility, price, duration and renewal charges are shown on Apple’s confirmation screen at purchase.
- Charges are billed to your Apple Account (Apple ID). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. A free trial also converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled in time.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current subscription or trial period ends.
- Deleting the App or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. Access after cancellation, the end of a trial and the effective date of a plan change follow the status shown by Apple.
- To restore purchases, use the Apple Account used for the purchase and select Restore Purchases on the App’s membership screen.
3. Billing and refunds
Purchases, charges and refund requests made through the App Store are handled under Apple’s applicable terms and procedures. Submit refund requests through Apple’s Report a Problem page. I cannot directly change your Apple bill, cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf, or compel Apple to approve or issue a refund. I cannot guarantee approval of a refund request.
I handle issues with App functionality, content access and recognition of purchased access; Apple handles its payment and refund processes. This allocation does not remove your statutory rights to a refund or other remedy, or the Developer’s responsibilities under applicable law.
4. Licence and your responsibilities
Subject to these Terms, Apple’s usage rules and valid purchased access, you may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes or violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Crack the App, bypass purchase or access verification, or reverse engineer, decompile or modify it without permission, except where expressly permitted by law or the relevant open-source licence.
- Resell, transfer or share subscription access with unauthorised users, except for uses expressly permitted by Apple and the App.
- Use sounds, images, videos or other assets in commercial projects, or extract, copy, distribute, sell or sublicense those assets without authorisation.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark or other rights notices.
You are responsible for managing your device and Apple Account and for your own use that breaches these Terms or the law.
5. Copyright and other intellectual property
The App’s software, interface, name, branding, text, sounds, images and videos are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Rights remain with their respective holders. Downloading, subscribing to or using the App does not transfer those rights to you.
You may use features expressly provided for saving wallpapers or sharing cards for their intended purpose. Those features do not grant a general licence for commercial use or other reuse of the source assets. Uses permitted by law and the licences of third-party components remain unaffected.
6. Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided in its current condition and as available. I do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, or suitability for every specific need. Some features depend on your device, system settings, connectivity or Apple services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including lost profits, lost business opportunities or lost data that fall within those categories.
These limits do not exclude or restrict liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including applicable consumer guarantees and liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury where such liability cannot be limited by law. If your jurisdiction does not allow a particular restriction, it applies only to the extent permitted there.
7. Suspension and termination
If you breach these Terms, I may immediately suspend or terminate your licence to use the App or related services to the extent permitted by law. I will provide notice or an opportunity to remedy the breach where the law requires it. You may stop using the App at any time.
Suspending or terminating a licence or service does not itself cancel an Apple subscription. You may still manage your subscription through Apple and seek a refund or other remedy under applicable law. Accrued statutory rights and responsibilities are unaffected.
8. Changes to these Terms
I reserve the right to amend these Terms. For a material change affecting your rights or obligations, I will give advance notice in the App or by another reasonable method and state when the change takes effect.
Non-material changes, such as spelling or formatting corrections, or compliance clarifications that do not materially alter your rights or obligations, may take effect on publication. Materiality depends on the actual impact. To the extent permitted by law, continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you disagree, stop using the App and separately manage or cancel any subscription through Apple. Any additional legal requirements for notice, consent or other steps will apply.
9. Related terms and contact
The App’s software licence is governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms supplement the service rules and allocation of responsibilities; they do not replace that agreement or Apple’s purchase rules. Mandatory provisions of applicable law always take precedence. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
